BUSINESS LITIGATION

Much of Mr. Goldman’s practice is devoted to business, commercial and contract related litigation. Mr. Goldman’s clients include financial institutions, credit unions, real estate developers and management companies, health care providers, oil/gas companies, corporations, businesses, and individuals. He has tried numerous commercial cases in Federal Courts, Bankruptcy Courts, and state courts. Mr. Goldman has substantial experience in business/contract litigation and trials, both jury trials and bench trials.

Mr. Goldman also advises business and corporate clients about a wide range of legal areas, including regulatory issues, employment matters, governance, contracts and litigation.

Criminal Defense

Mr. Goldman has an extensive criminal defense practice, ranging from sophisticated white collar defense work, including RICO actions, financial fraud, securities fraud, to drug, street crime, and DUI/traffic cases. He has represented clients in over 350 Federal Court criminal cases, and hundreds of state court criminal cases. He has tried over 30 criminal jury trials in federal and state courts in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

APPELLATE
LITIGATION

Mr. Goldman has significant appellate experience, having prepared and filed briefs with various appellate courts, including the United States Supreme Court. He has presented oral arguments before federal and state appellate courts, including several oral arguments before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

DOMESTIC RELATIONS LAW & LITIGATION

Mr. Goldman also practices family and domestic relations law in Virginia, the District of Columbia and Maryland, including separation, divorce, custody, property/equitable distribution and support matters. Mr. Goldman has won decisive victories for clients in divorce/equitable distribution cases, and child custody cases.
